Everything changes. Feelings, emotions, people, situations. Everything changes and it comes to a point where we cannot hold on to the past anymore, because it’s gone. In life, perhaps the only constant thing is love, because no matter what, we are faced with a choice: to stay and make something new, or to leave and start again. And to stay, through every single hardship, to not take the easy way out, to try and to want to try, to say “I want you to be loved by me and no one else”, is truly a feat only accomplished with the aid of an almost impossible quality, which is what I’d like to think love is. Perhaps people confuse love and feelings and that’s why so many leave when the feeling is gone. Perhaps that is why we can only love once; not just because it is difficult, but because it means staying forever.
